On February 4th, the Algarve Biomedical Center (ABC) presented the ABA – Algarve Brain Aging Imaging Study project to beneficiary companies, specialist clinicians, and patient associations in the field of neurological diseases at the Loulรฉ University Health Center.
The session was conducted by Clรฉvio Nรณbrega (Director of ABC), Dr. Hipรณlito Nzwalo (neurologist and researcher at ABC), Dr. Helena Guerreiro (Principal Investigator of the project), and Filipe Melo (CCES – Center of Competence for the Social Economy) that addressed topics such as the importance of early diagnosis, the role of neuroimaging inย preventive medicineย and aging in the social economy.
ABA aimsย to collect Magnetic Resonance (MRI) images of the brain to better understand brain aging and possible neurological changes, using Imaging Lab – ABC.
