Our researchers, in partnership with the Municipality of Albufeira (Albufeira City Council), organized a Health Screening Event in the Community, in Albufeira, which took place on February 17th. Through this screening, it was possible to assess elements such as arterial tension, cholesterol levels, glycemia, or triglycerides, and corporeal composition, to raise awareness among the population about the importance of maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. This was also an opportunity to promote the “Community Program of Physical Exercise in Chronic Diseases”, aimed at individuals aged 50 and over who have at least one of the following diseases: diabetes, cardiovascular/cerebrovascular risk/disease, and osteoarthritis.
