With over ten years of experience as a professor and researcher, Ana Macedo is passionate about advancing clinical research and translational medicine, especially in the field of LGBTQIA+ health and medical education. She hold a PhD in Clinical Research from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a postgraduate degree in Pharmaceutical Economics from ISEG. She is also the director of the PhD program in Clinical Research and Translational Medicine at the University of Algarve and the president of the Ethics Committee of the Algarve Biomedical Center. Since 2023, has been a partner at WGSC Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consulting, where apply her expertise and knowledge to help organizations create more inclusive and equitable workplaces and services for LGBTQIA+ people and other marginalized groups.
