Clévio Nóbrega is vice-president of the Algarve Biomedical Center and member of the Executive Board of ABC.
Clévio Nóbrega is currently an Assistant Professor with Habilitation at the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Algarve (UAlg). He is director of the Algarve Biomedical Center Research Institute, where he leads a research group in Molecular Neuroscience and Gene Therapy, comprising more than 20 researchers. Additionally, he is a co-founder of AQuracy Therapeutics, a startup in incubation at UAlg, and the President of the board at the Collaborative Laboratory Ageing Better CoLAB (ABC CoLAB).
Clévio Nóbrega has authored over 50 scientific publications in international journals, several books as both an author and editor, holds 3 granted patents, has received numerous national and international awards, and has secured over 2.5 million euros in funding for research projects in his laboratory over the past 3 years.
Clévio Nóbrega’s focus his research on the development of models and advanced therapies for incurable rare diseases, in particular neurodegenerative disorders.
