Vítor Fernandes


SHORT BIO

Vítor Fernandes completed his PhD in Biological Sciences at the University of Leicester in 2015. In 2017, he joined the Faculty of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University of Algarve where he is currently a Senior Technician and invited Auxiliar Professor in Microbiology. Vítor is also the Animal Facility manager and a member of the National Commission for the Protection of Animals Used for Scientific Purposes (CPAFC), as well as ABC-Ri management support coordinator. His research interests are focused on the host-pathogen interactions and innate immunity.
